Third Church invites you and your friends to an evening with Longyear Museum.  On Friday, November 7th at 7:00pm, Ryan Siewert will present the short film “Remember the Days of Old” as well as a special program about Mary Baker Eddy’s last class, titled “The Class of 1898: Imparting a Fresh Impulse.”

In 1889, Mary Baker Eddy closed the Massachusetts Metaphysical College in order to revise Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures and put the foundations of her church on a more sure footing, not knowing when or if she would ever teach again.  Nine years later, Mrs. Eddy took significant steps to ensure the quality of Christian Science teaching.  One of those steps was to convene the class of 1898.  This program examines the circumstances, the students, and the far-reaching effects of Mrs. Eddy’s last class.
After the presentation there will be a time for Q&A.  We’re very excited for what will surely be an inspiring night!  If you have any other questions, feel free to let us know, and we look forward to seeing you there.
