Testimony Meeting 5/13

What is time?  Is it inevitable?  Are we bound by it’s limitations, forced to race against the clock as we strive to lead full lives?  Some of histories greatest philosophers and scientists have grappled with this question in an effort to master this obstacle.  Today the most cutting edge scientific theories are  pointing to the fact that time doesn’t exist at all.

At the end of the day time is just a measurement of material events, a temporal ruler that tells us how long it took for us to get from A to B.  This is why there is no material solution for making time move faster or slower.  The only way to truly overcome time is to look above the laws of matter to the Divine laws of Spirit.  In Luke chapter 13, when Jesus was teaching in the temple, a woman who had been crippled for eighteen years caught his attention.  Jesus didn’t see her as stuck in a chronic condition, he saw her spiritual image and likeness, whole, free, and healthy.  With this vision before him he said to her “Woman, you are set free from your infirmity” and she was instantly healed.  The woman didn’t have to wait for the healing to kick in, it wasn’t a long road to recovery.  Imagine how much we could accomplish if all of our work were like this instantaneous healing.  This natural unfoldment of our spiritual identity doesn’t have to take any time at all.
