Testimony Meeting 9/30

09.30.15 GreatnessMoses was running from his past.  He had killed a man.  He was standing up for what he knew was right, but he had gone too far when he took matters into his own hands.  So he fled from his adoptive family, the Egyptian royalty, and found himself in the dessert in the company of humble shepherds.  Dealing with the burden of guilt and zero self confidence, Moses had been reduced to tending sheep for his father in law.  Does this sound like the life of a man destined to become a nation’s most revered leader?  Probably not, but that’s exactly what happened next.

Moses went on to free the children of Israel from enslavement in Egypt and illuminate God’s laws in the form of the Ten Commandments.  Moses’ influence and legacy are still felt today, and it was accomplished through humility and trust in God.  The very fact that Moses felt he couldn’t accomplish what God was asking him to do made him the perfect candidate to do it.  He understood that without God’s help, the mission was hopeless.  This enabled him to put his full faith in God and follow God’s instruction every step of the way.

Join us this Wednesday, September 30th for our Testimony Meeting at 7:30pm.  The readings from the Bible and the Christian Science textbook will be all about “Greatness.”  We’ll also hear from individuals about how they are putting the practical truths of Christian Science to work in their lives.
