On Tuesday, October 14th, speaker John Tyler will discuss the question: “Can we break the chains of materialism?” Using scenes from the film “The Matrix” as a metaphor, Tyler shows how we can free ourselves from materialistic thinking. The talk, sponsored by Seventh Church of Christ, Scientist, will begin at 7pm in James Chapel at Union Theological Seminary, Broadway and 121st Street.
