Testimony Meeting 8/12

When was the last time you felt grace in your life?  Do you look for grace on a daily basis?  Or is it something that you haven’t yet felt or recognized?  The word grace came into prominence in the New Testament, and early Christians used the phrase “grace to you!” to greet one another.  In modern times, grace isn’t something we think about, much less talk about, on a daily basis.  Though the word may seem to be relegated to religious discourse and Bible scholars, grace is a relevant and powerful force working in each of our lives right now.

The beautiful thing about grace is that we don’t have to do anything to earn it, it’s yours just for being you.  Grace is God’s all-inclusive love for his children, and this love heals.  In Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, Mary Baker Eddy writes “Grace and Truth are potent beyond all other means and methods.”  Any real, permanent healings of the issues that arise in our daily lives are the result of God’s grace.  How do we access this power that trumps all others in it’s healing ability?  Mary Baker Eddy writes further that “To live so as to keep human consciousness in constant relation with the divine, the spiritual, and the eternal, is to individualize infinite power; and this is Christian Science.”  Living constantly in the understanding that we have God’s abundant grace available to us, we can begin to see this healing power manifested in the same way Jesus demonstrated innumerable times in his earthly career.

Third Church is dedicated to helping people grow in their understanding of God’s healing grace, and this Wednesday, August 12th, our 7:30pm testimony meeting will be focused on this topic.  Come hear readings from the Bible and the Christian Science Textbook, and hear real life examples of God’s healing grace in the form of testimonies given by attendees.
