Good Friday 2023

We would like to invite you to an in-person Easter talk that focuses on finding comfort and assurance in what may feel like difficult times. This talk explores ways to pray, and to understand more about the rock of Truth that provides a sure foundation when most needed.

Christie Hanzlik, CS, will be with us on Good Friday, April 7th, at 7:30 PM Eastern Time, to share her talk, “Feeling Genuine Joy in Difficult Times”. The program will begin with music at 7:15 PM by Matthew Hammond and Davya Flaharty with the group LOVE ONLY GROWS.  Join us after the talk for a few hymns and healing songs from the ‘Love Only Grows’ album by Matthew Hammond and Davya Flaharty.

Christie’s talk will be live and in person in the church auditorium, and we hope you will join us.

There will be a live simultaneous Spanish translation for Spanish speakers. Check our website for updates at ThirdChurchNYC.com.

Diane Allison

Diane Worfolk Allison is a gifted visual storyteller who has several children’s books published by the Christian Science Publishing Society.

“As with all artists, I am captivated by ideas, that reveal the importance and uniqueness of all peoples, especially children. They make demands, these ideas.  Some want a poem, some an illustrated story, some a song an essay or a play. with or without puppets.  Drawing children is a joy. I must capture their unique spirit beyond what eyes see. Writing and drawing  for children is a mission.”
