Testimony Meeting Wed. 8/28

Wed 8.28.13“What we most need” writes Mary Baker Eddy in her chapter Prayer, from Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, “is the prayer of fervent desire for growth in grace,” (emphasis mine).  And how do we do that? you might ask.  Well, she goes on to say that this is “expressed in patience, meekness, love, and good deeds.”  Grace is that virtue, blessing, or assistance from God which comes to us when we don’t ask for it, when we don’t think we need it, and oftentimes when we think we don’t deserve it.  It’s easy to let moments of grace go by unnoticed in our daily lives.  However, this is the capacity in which Eddy says we most need to grow.

So take a minute this week (if you can do it before our testimony meeting, even better!), and ask yourself, how have you been growing in grace?  What can you do this week, today, or right in this moment to see the grace that’s already happening in your life?  Then, join us for our testimony meeting, this Wednesday at 7:30pm, and share with us what you have learned.  We can’t wait to see you there!
