This Wednesday, September 11th, we remember the events of twelve years ago, when our city and our country came under attack. In doing so, I urge you all to read this article by one of New York’s own prolific practitioners, Felice Meyer, A New Yorker’s Prayers: Then and Now.
Felice’s article show’s the enormous hope and spirit of the people of New York, and gives a healing example of what Mary Baker Eddy called “standing porter at the door of thought.” She also expresses her gratitude for the view above, saying “For a long while after 9/11, I found great solace gazing at the city skyline from the north end of the reservoir in Central Park. There the sky cups Manhattan from east to west and it’s quiet. I love thinking of how God holds this dear city in His powerful hands, guarding, nourishing, developing all that is good in it forever.”
Join us this Wednesday, September 11th at 7:30pm as we do the same, giving gratitude for God’s protection each and every day.
