The people of the country of Syria are in everyone’s thoughts and prayers this week as tensions mount and the debate continues in our nation’s capital about the best course of action.  Oftentimes we ask ourselves, what can we do in times like this?  How does one know what the best strategy is, and how can we advocate for it?  One of the best ways to start answering these questions is to quiet our own thought, and turn to God in prayer.

This week, the readings for our Wednesday evening service will focus on peace, in support of the Syrian people and those in our government making the difficult decisions about how to proceed.  Join us as we take a stand for peace.
