Handout of the talk: Hand out “Week That Changed The World”

“The Week That Changed the World” by Madelon Maupin.

Summary: Is a 2000+ year old story relevant to an age of nuclear threats and nation-state saber rattling? How did Christ Jesus challenge the prejudices of his time to forever alter the freedom of mankind? Christ Jesus declared, “I came not to send peace, but a sword” (Matt. 10:34). This man of unspeakable love that knew no gender, age, racial or ethnic biases was nonetheless ready to bring a sword to whatever would limit, imprison or undermine anyone. Madelon Maupin delves into this remarkable story and its place in our lives today.

Greetings from Adelaide South Australia. What a lovely gift to the world with the beautiful Christmas carols, do thank your four singers, and that lovely lecture from John Tylor. Thank you so much. My wife and I are members at 1st Church Adelaide South Australia and this was such a lovely Christmas gift to us and the world. These links with The Mother Church and with you and others mean so much. We loved your church and its decorations and the winter scene with the snow and lights. A contrast to our warm sunny weather. We in Adelaide are moving from our current church home and so embark on a new season of “Love’s divine adventure” as our Leader writes. Bless you all for all you do as we all embark on Love’s adventure. So good to know you are there With much love Gaye and David Bell
